Systems Leadership Event
The Nottingham & Nottinghamshire ICS
Virtual 2nd System Leadership Event: how can we support you to embed prevention, so it is part of everyone’s role?
The 2nd System Leadership Event is taking place on Tuesday, 16th September 2025 (10 am to 3 pm). This is now being run as a virtual event to make it more accessible.
Click here to access the most up-to-date agenda. To note, the agenda has a number of speakers whose talks on the day will be open to anyone from our system to attend (the link to the talks can be requested by emailing
nnicb-nn.od@nhs.net with your name, role, name of organisation and email address).
If you are a system leader working in any part of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS this exciting event will enable you to make further connections and delve deeper into prevention. Please then consider also joining us to be part of the conversation and our ’round table’ discussions after the morning talks.
You don’t need to have attended the first event (see a little on that below) but if you would like to come along to the ’round table’ part of the day just add your details to our booking form by clicking here (these places will be confirmed by email and a diary confirmation invite. The link to the morning talks will also be shared with you). Be aware that for the ’round table’ discussions you will need to be sponsored by a senior leader from your organisation (ideally at the Executive level).
Please share this information with anyone who you think would benefit from attending either the talks and/or the ’round table’ discussions.
Contact the ICB’s OD Department inbox (nnicb-nn.od@nhs.net) if you have any difficulties gaining access to our booking form or even have a question about the September 2025 event
A little information about the 1st System Leaders Event, Lifting Our Gaze on the 28th November 2024
The above event was attended by over 70 Nottingham and Nottinghamshire system leaders from health, social care, education and the 3rd sector who came together for the first time to lift their gaze and develop their role through a deeper understanding of systems leadership.
Case studies in-line with Start Well, Live Well and Age Well were presented to the audience as a shared learning experience and as examples of where system collaboration within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has already proved successful.
During this event participants were given the time and space to think about the ICS principles of Prevention, Equity and Inclusion for local people. They discussed their current challenges, shared ideas, thought differently, envisaged the future and what success will look like, and worked out how to achieve this.
The system leaders also made personal commitments on the day to involve themselves in further system working.
This time-out not only provided an opportunity for the system to connect with more of itself, but also provided all attendees with a vital networking, connecting and relationship building opportunity that will support the continued development of the system during 2025 and beyond.
Visit NHS Futures by clicking here to access the event slides, 3 x case studies and outputs from the day as well as a range of recorded system leadership case studies (not shown at the event). To note, you will need to set up an account if you haven’t done so already.
