Information Governance and Data Protection

Under Data Protection law individuals have certain rights regarding their personal data which is processed by organisations.

Requests for access to or for further information about personal data processed by the Integrated Care System or Integrated Care Board can be directed to the Information Governance team.

Caldicott Guardian

The Caldicott Guardian is a senior person responsible for protecting the confidentiality of service user information and enabling appropriate and lawful information sharing. There are specific processes which are followed to ensure the continuing security and confidentiality of information.
